Winter Roll Practice 2024 #13 (CANCELED!)

ROLL PRACTICE IS CANCELED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

All attending participants must have an active membership. This is mandatory for insurance reasons. 

What: Winter Roll Practice

Date: Tuesday, April 2

Time: 7:45pm-9:30pm

Where: Ooltewah Swim Center

Cost: $5/person

Registration Opens: Friday, March 29

Other Info: Maximum occupancy will be 25 boats in the pool. Roll practice is open to all club members in good standing. If you are not a member, you will be allowed to attend one time as a non-member. After that, you must register as a member. Membership is $20 for a individual/family membership and $25 for a family membership. You can become a member by clicking here. Please read the information below.

1. DO NOT arrive at the pool any sooner than 7:30pm. This allows time for parents to safely pick up their kids after swim practice.
2. DO NOT park next to the fence if you arrive early. These spots are reserved for parents picking up their kids.
3. DO NOT drive on the grass. The entrance to the parking lot is paved now, but the parking lot itself is still gravel. Cones will be placed next to the grass.
4. Check in as soon as you arrive at the pool.
5. Online registration is preferred and easier for everyone. Walk-ons will only be allowed if space permits. 
6. Volunteers do not need to register or pay. If you wish to volunteer, please contact the training officer.
7. All boats must be rinsed off before getting in the pool. The hose will be extended into the pool to verify all boats are clean.
8. You MUST wear a helmet and PFD if you are in your boat. NO EXCEPTIONS!
9. No seal launching off the pool deck. You must place you boat in the pool first, then get in your boat. There are stairs available to make this easier.
10. No splatting against the wall.
11. If you are practicing tricks such as stern squirts, double pumps, cartwheels, etc. please ensure you have adequate room. Likewise, be aware of anyone around you attempting tricks other than rolling. 
12. Observe all pool rules. No running, diving, or flipping. 
13. Please be courteous. This is the only pool in the area that is willing to offer us roll practice on a reasonable date at a reasonable price. We do not want to lose this privilege. Those that are teaching are volunteers.
